Warranty Terms

All CODE|ONE® products are intensively and extensively tested. In particular, final field tests should ensure that your CODE|ONE® product meets our strict standards. However, should a problem arise with a CODE|ONE® product and the cause is due to manufacturing defects, material and workmanship, CODE|ONE® will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product in accordance with the warranty terms herein. If the duration of the warranty differs from our standard 5-year warranty, a separate warranty card is attached to the product and / or listed in the product features on our website. The warranty is valid only for first time buyers or gift recipients of CODE|ONE® products.

The warranties described in these warranty conditions do not cover damage caused by improper use, accidents, abrasion, normal wear and tear, improper handling by the carrier (eg airlines), improper care, exposure to solvents, acids, water, extreme temperatures and chemicals caused. In the event of damage during transport, we recommend submitting a complaint before customs clearance to the responsible transport company at the place of destination. Also excluded are optical / cosmetic damage such as color changes, stains, bumps, scratches and other non-functional changes in the appearance of the product.

For repairs within the warranty period, CODE|ONE® expects that these will be carried out exclusively by CODE|ONE®, if a repair makes sense.Before sending your product to CODE|ONE®, please contact our customer service. If you have not purchased the product directly from CODE|ONE®, please contact the seller. Please note that improper or incorrect repairs and / or maintenance will void this warranty. However, you are responsible for all costs incurred in bringing the product to CODE|ONE® for repair and / or maintenance purposes - including, but not limited to, the costs of packaging, shipping, and applicable taxes. After the warranty period, repairs and / or maintenance can be performed by any company.

For a maintenance or repair service by CODE|ONE® you need the original receipt or invoice. CODE|ONE® checks whether the problem is covered by the warranty or not. If the warranty is valid, CCODE|ONE® will inform you if it will be repaired or replaced. CODE|ONE® will cover the cost of such repair or replacement, including the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced product to you. If the product has to be replaced and can not be replaced due to lack of availability, CODE|ONE® replaces a product of the same value.

Secondary and consequential damages are expressly excluded. Costs incurred and damage caused by third party work (by anyone other than CODE|ONE®) are not covered by this warranty. Tacit warranties are hereby excluded, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The warranty granted is limited to the value of the product. Manufacturer specifications are subject to change without notice. Please note that any locking options on the product are only intended to prevent inadvertent opening, but do not protect against theft of the product itself or the contents, breakage or intrusion of airline, airport or government personnel. After handling by other persons please check your product immediately.

The warranty terms of CODE|ONE® give you specific legal rights. The exclusions or limitations contained in these terms may not apply to you, as there are varying rights in addition to the rights described here, from state to state or country to country. This applies to the exclusion or use of implied warranties, repair and replacement, as well as incidental and consequential damages.
